Photo of the Day 20th October 2023

Head-on view of a twin engined jet airliner taxiing almost directly towards the camera. The plane is mostly white, with red engine pods and tail. The nose-wheel is turned hard to it's left, suggesting that the plane is in the middle of turning that way. In the background, the white and blue rear fuselage and tail with orange and yellow sunburst can be seen in the top left corner, with a set of red airstairs parked near it, while a black chainlink fence runs across the rest of the frame, seperating us from a building right at the back.

Side view of a high-winged, twin propellor-engined airliner taxiing from left to right. The plane is mostly white, with grey and dark blue "Team Lufthansa" titles on the lower fuselage, and the registration "D-AFFI" on the rear fuselage. The tail is dark blue, with a ring of 12 5 pointed gold stars. In the ackground, grass leads off into the distance, split by a couple of black runways.

Side view of two twin engined fighter jets during their take off roll, moving from right to left. The planes are a deep blue, with yellow highlights on the spine, wingtips, and the tops of the outward-canted twin tails. There are yellow "Blue Angels" titles on the lower forward fuselage, and "US Navy" titles on the engine intakes under the wings. The outer faces of the tails have large yellow numbers, the one on the right with a "1", the other having a "2". Grass fills the foreground, while trees line the airfield perimeter, under a grey sky.
