Photo of the Day 8th November 2023

Rather backlit side view of a twin propellor engined airliner flying from left to right at a very low level, with undercarriage lowered and flaps extended from the rear of the wings, suggesting it is just about to land. The plane has a grey top and a dark blue belly, with a thin red stripe running along the middle of the body. There are black "British Airways" titles on the upper forward fuselage. In the backgroune, the sky is a very pale blue, getting whiter and brighter towards the bottom of the frame under the plane, suggesting that the sun is very low in the sky, the shadows on thkis side of the plane suggesting that the sun is shining brightly on the other side.

Slightly elevated side view of a twin engined jet airliner taxiing from right to left. The plane is mostly white, with a blue belly, and black "Croatia Airlines" on the upper forward fuselage. The tail has a blue triangle at the bottom, with a smaller, red triangle above, slowly fading to white via a checkerboard pattern. In the background, a low building stretches most of the way across the frame, with various white airport vehicles scattered or moving around.

Side view of a twin engined light aircraft parked facing to the left. The dplane is mostly white, with a thin red stripe running along the body and engine cowlings, and the registration "G-AKKB" on the rear fuselage in large black letters. The twin tails have short blue, red, and orange diagonal bands towards the front, with the word "Total" overlaid in red on the outer surfaces, and red "Air Total" titles on the inner surfaces. In the background, cars and other vehicles are clustered around some hedges in the distance, with a fuel truck by a small helicopter, both almost hidden by this plane, under a grey sky.

This Gemini was a regular at this show, but the tail of the Skeeter behind helps with dating this photo.
