Photo of the Day 29th November 2024.

Side view of a white, twin engined jet airliner taxiing from left to right. The plane has a black, green, orange, and red stripe running along the body, , with black "Air Atlantis" titles on the upper forward fuselage, with green and red accents on the initial letter "A"'s. The tail has a large, green and red letter "A" in the same style. There is a white van just coming in to the left of the frame, appearing to be sneaking up on this plane. Grey concrete apron fills the foreground, while a large grey and blue hangar fills the background, with a white and blue, twin propellor-engined airliner with blue SATA Air Acores" titles on the upper fuselage parked outside.

I thought the Air Azores Budgie would help date the photo, but no, this plane was returned on lease shortly after I bought this camera in early 1992.

Front view of a white, single propellor-engined light aircraft parked facing to the left with chocks under the wheels, preventing it from moving. The plane has a red stripe running along the body, and red registration "G-BEZZ", along with red leading edges of the wings, tail, and horizontal stabiliser. The engine cowling on the nose has been removed, leaving the engine exposed, with the propellor showing as a spinning white and red blur as the engine runs. A man with white hair and a white moustache is sitting in the pilots seat. Black tarmac fills the rest of the frame.

Side view of a white, twin engined jet airliner taxiing from right to left. There is a red and yellow stripe swooping from under the forward fuselage, over the wing, and back to fill the rear fuselage and tail with yellow swirls over the tail, a design replicated on the red upturned wingtips.. There are red "Hainan Airlines" titles on the upper forward fuselage, in Chinese just in front of the mid cabin door, and in English just after that door. The top of a grey terminal building stretches across the bottom of the frame, with large blue fuel tanks dominating the background, under grey skies.
