Side view of a rather squat and boxy, high-winged, twin propellor-engined airliner parked facing to the right and slightly away from the camera on grey concrete apron. The plane is largely white, with a pair of light green pinstripes and a thicker, dark green stripe running along the bottom of the body, with dark green "Manx" titles under the cockpit windows at the front, and the black registration "G-BKMX" on the upper rear fuselage. The tail is dark green, with a thick red stripe outlined in red through the middle, with a Triskelion, a set of 3 armoured legs, connected at the hip and appearing to run in a circle, in the middle of that. Grey concrete apron fills the foreground and much of the background, with the end of a low terminal building stretching into the frame on the top right, and grass lining taxiways and a runway throughout the rest of the frame, with trees in the distance meeting bright but hazy sky.

G-BKMX, Shorts SD-3-60-100, Manx Airlines, parked on Gate 40 at Manchester Airport, some time in the early 1990s, as seen from the much missed terraces on top of T1.

This spot on the roof has been heavily built-over, but the stairs used to access it have been walled off rather than removed, (I think they are now one of the emergency exits from T3) and this access point can still be seen today.
