The plane is mostly covered in a grey and olive green camouflage scheme, with the undersides of the wings and belly being a creamy colour. There is a yellow, blue, white, and red roundel on the side of the rear fuselage, preceded by the creamy-green letters "QY" , and followed by a "J", with the black serial "W3644" on a creamy-green band around the rear fuselage right in front of the tail. A pole rising up from the ground is connected to the plane where the wings meet the fuselage, directly under the cockpit Green trees fill the bottom of the frame, with dramatic grey sky filling the top.

This is one of many Spitfires scattered around the Blackpool area, including Spitfire Island, and the Spitfire Visitor Centre at Blackpool Airport.
