On This Day 23rd August 2025.

View from below of a twin engined jet airliner flying from right to left at a low altitude, with undercarriage lowered and flaps extended from the rear of the wings, suggesting that it is about to land. The plane is almost entirely white, with little more than the black registration "G-POWX" visible under the left wing. Bright but hazy sky with blue patches threatening to break through fills the rest of the frame.

G-POWX, Embraer ERJ-190-100LR, Titan Airways, on final approach around 4.5km out to Runway 28 at Blackpool Airport, as seen from Ivy Farm, 23rd August 2025.

I’ve always thought that it is unfortunate that the British Civil Aircraft Register doesn’t allow for registrations to be re-used on other planes – Titan started registering it’s aircraft in the G-ZAP* series, moved on top G-POW*, and tragically for fans of the 1960’s Batman tv show, can’t move on to G-BIF*
