Manchester Monday 28th July 2025.

Side view of a twin engined jet airliner parked facing to the left on a black runway.

On This Day 28th July 1995.

Side view of a small helicopter flying from right to left at a low altitude. The chopper is mostly white, with a blue and grey stripe running along the lower body and tail boom, and a blue square with a stylised upper case white letter "Q", with the word "Quantel" at the bottom. The black registration "G-CLIP" is on the side of the engine cowling on top of the body. Blue sky with streaks of grey cloud (or is it grey cloud with streaks of blue sky? Who knows?) fill the background.

G-CLIP, Aerospatiale AS355N Ecureil II, Quantel, flying over London Heathrow, 28th July 1995.

They had to shut down both of the runways as this flew directly overhead.

Manchester Monday 2 28th July 2025.

Close-up head-on shot (with a VERY wide angle lens) of a bi-plane light aircraft parked on grey concrete facing the camera. The plane is almost entirely red, with white stripes around the engine cowling, and around the spats covering the main wheels, as well as a 2 bladed grey propellor. The prop has been arranged so it is horizontal, quite possibly for any passing geek who just happens to be taking photos. The corner of a green hangar can be seen on the right of the frame, with a larger black hangar with it's doors wide open can be seen in the background on the left, with a small white plane parked in front of it. Flat white sky fills the rest of the frame.

G-PITZ, Pitts S-2A Special, parked outside one of the hangars at Manchester Barton, some time in the 1990s.
