Rear view of a single engined light aircraft parked on tarmac facing to the left and away from the camera. The plane is grey, with a white lower half, outlined in red, with red registration "G-BOPT" on the rear fuselage. A large, red brick hangar fills the background, some of it's windows in the upper storey looking a bit sorry for themselves.

Low side view of a twin engined BizJet flying from left to right at a low altitude. The plane's lower forward fuselage and upper rear fuselage and tail are painted in a geometric pattern made up of various shades of blue, with the rest being white. The red number "1000" is visible on the side of the forward fuselage, while the first 3 letters of the registration, "G-EL" are visible on the tail, the rest obscured by the engines mounted on the sides of the rear fuselage. Bright but hazy grey sky fills the background.

Side view of a twin engined jet airliner taxiing from left to right. The plane is mostly white, with a dark blue belly, rear fuselage, and tail, with a green-blue pinstripe. There are large blue, billboard-style "SpanAir" titles on the forward fuselage, and the black registration "G-MCEA" on the upper rear fuselage. The tail has red, yellow, and greeny-blue spiky shapes, similar to forks, overlaid on each other. The engine pods under the wings are also this dark blue. In the foreground, a large crowd of people are standing in front of a tall, black, chain-link fence, mostly watching this plane. Green grass is visible in the background under the plane, leading up to trees in the distance. Very pale sky with fluffs of white cloud fills the rest of the frame.

Side view of a twin-engined jet airliner with the engines mounted on the sides of the rear fuselage, facing to the left but being pushed back to the right by an out-of-frame tug attached to the nose-wheel by a long white pole. The plane is mostly white, with a dark and light blue stripe running along the body and sweeping up to fill the tail, where half a British flag is waving on what appears to be a flag pole but is actually that thin light blue stripe. There are dark blue "Air UK" titles on the upper forward fuselage, with the black registration "G-UKFB" on the upper rear fuselage, partially obscured by the white engine pods. Grey concrete apron fills the foreground, with a strip of green grass separating that from a grey taxiway in the distance. There is a brown brick building in the background on the right, directly behind this plane, as well as grey buildings in the far distance.

Side view of a 3 engined jet airliner taxiing from right to left. The plane is mostly white, with large, billboard-style green "VIA" titles on the forward fuselage, with much smaller, purple, "Vista Est" at the bottom of the fuselage, just in front of the wings. The tail and rear fuselage are purple, with white "VOA" titles in the middle of the tail, and thin purple and white stripes on the centre engine intake and exhaust in front of and below the tail. The white engines mounted on the sides of the rear fuselage have the black registration "LZ-MIR" on the side. Slightly damp grey concrete apron fills the foreground, with bright sunlight reflecting off smears of water on the ground, while large grassed areas line both sides of a runway in the background. Black hangars with light aircraft and airport vehicles lined up outside stretch across the frame in the distance, under bright but hazy sky.

Side view of a twin engined jet airliner parked facing to the right. The plane is mostly white, with thin blue stripes on the lower fuselage getting wider until they merge into a solid block on the belly. There are dark blue "Britannia" titles on the upper forward fuselage, next to a head wearing an extravagantly plumed helmet. The tail is the reverse of the fuselage, white at the bottom, with thin blue lines getting thicker as they rise up the tail, merging into a solid mass at the top. A silhouetted, white, seated female figure wearing a robe and an elaborately plumed helmet, and holding a trident in her left hand and a white shield covered in a circular British flag in her right, down low by the ground, covers most of the rest of the tail, to modern eyes resembling a woman in a wheelchair. Grey concrete apron fills the foreground, with a baggage-loading truck driving up towards the rear of the plane. A terminal building stretches across the frame in the background, with tree covered hills in the distance, under leaden grey sky.

G-AWSY, Boeing 737-204, Britannia, parked on Gate 5 at Manchester Airport, 1992 or 1993, as seen from the old rooftop terraces.
