G-DAFT, Aerospatiale AS355F2 Ecureuil (Squirrel) II, parked on the ramp at Liverpool Speke, 17th September 1993.

One of my all-time favourite planes is parked right behind it - it is a perfectly normal Piper PA-34-200T Seneca II, but it carries the registration EI-EIO.

*sings* Old Macdonald had a plane, EI-EIO…"

Side view of a helicopter parked a concrete apron area facing to the right. The chopper is cobalt blue, with a lighter blue stripe zig-zagging it's way across the body and tail-boom, overlaid with light blue registration "G-DAFT" on the boom. Another light blue stripe runs along the engine cowling mounted on top of the roof. Lush green grass fills the foreground, with a large grey apron area in the background. A brown, twin-engined light aircraft is parked behind this helicopter on the left. A wide river in the background has tall buildings on the far bank slowly vanishing into hazy grey sky.

Wingtip Wednesday 17th September 2025.

Close-up of the wingtip of a jet airliner taxiing from right to left. The plane has a grey body, with white wings, with the registration "A7-BCO" under the outer panels. A red and bright white light is shining in the corner of the wing just where the wingtip angles back. Flat grey sky fills the rest of the frame.
