On This Day 18th July 2014.

Side view of a twin engined jet airliner moving from left to right as it accelerates along a runway. The plane is mostly white, with blue-green "First Choice" titles on the upper forward fuselage, next to squar-ish logo that looks like a childs drawing of a holiday destination - blue sky and green ground separated by a white curve, with a yellow sun in the top left corner, and a red asterisk that I think is supposed to be some kind of flower in the top right. A multi-coloured stripe runs along the body, blue-green at the front, blue in the middle, and red at the rear, swooping up slightly over the wing. The tail is a different shade of blue-green, with a red asterisk/flower over the top. The engine pods under the wings are also a slightly different shade of blue green, while they appear to have missed a trick on the up-turned wing-tips, which are just white. Lush green grass fills the foreground, with a grey runway and a pair of taxiways running through. A pair of large grey hangars dominate the background on the right of the frame, with a plane very similar to this one taxiing in front of them in the opposite direction. Blue sky with wisps of grey cloud fill the rest of the frame.

G-OOBL, Boeing 767-324ER, First Choice, rolling along a taxiway after landing  on Runway 05 Right at Manchester Airport, as one of it's sister-ships (G-OOBM, I think) heads towards the Runway 05 Left, 18th July 2014, as seen from one of the South Side mounds.

Bonus Photo of the Day 18th July 2025.

Side view of a high-winged, twin propellor-engined airliner taxiing from left to right. The plane is mostly white, with a thick blue stripe running along the fuselage, covering the passenger cabin windows, and large, blue, billboard-style "LOT" titles on the forward fuselage. The tail is dark blue, with a large white circle containing a blue stylised flying bird, its wings outstretched and swept forward. Grey concrete apron fills the foreground, with a blue metal frame at the bottom middle, while grass in the background leads up to a large, cream-coloured hangar that is slowly being swallowed up by mist.
