There are white "Vietnam Airlines" titles on the upper forward fuselage, the first few letters obscured by the right engine. A golden flower is on the forward fuselage, as well as on the blue engine pods under the wings, and in a larger form on the tail. The registration "VN-A142" is on the upper rear fuselage in white, and under the outer panels of the underside of the left wing, in black. Blue sky with fluffs of white cloud on the left of the frame fill the rest of the frame.

Side view of a rather bizarre-looking, 4 jet engined military tanker aircraft parked facing to the right on a black taxiway. The plane is painted mostly in a dark , sandy grey-brown colour scheme on the upper surfaces, with the belly a slightly lighter shade. The plane looks rather 1950's style "retro-futuristic", a sharp pointed nose with sleek flowing lines along the body, leading to the curved rear fuselage. The engines are buried in the wing, with large intakes in the wing root, with the wings curving out slightly to the side, with large pods under the wing containing large fuel tanks, and smaller pods out-board of those. The highly swept T-tail is mounted on the upper rear fuselage, hanging back well past the end of the body, with a pale blue and red fin flash, and a white circle overlaid with a blue arm holding a spear. Green grass lines the taxiway in the foreground, with crowds of people behind metal barriers clustered around the plane in the background, under dreary grey sky.
