Rear view of a single-engined bi-plane airliner parked on tarmac facing away from the camera. The plane is largely yellow, with red wings and tail, and blue "Utterly Butterly" titles on the side of the rear fuselage. The black registration "HA-MEP" is on the rear fuselage, under the horizontal stabiliser. Pale blue sky fills the rest of the frame.

HA-MEP, WSK-PZL AN-2R (a license-built version of the Antonov AN-2) in the colours of it's sponsor, Utterly Butterly, at Fairford International Air Tattoo, 22nd July 1995.

This was the support plane for several aerobatic teams operating under the "Utterly Butterly" brand, flying types as diverse as Fournier RF-4s's and Boeing Stearman's.

Quite why a butter-adjacent spread was deemed the ideal sponsor for an aerobatic team is unknown, but they were regulars at shows up and down the country.

Tails Tuesday 22nd July 2025.

Close-up of the tail of a 1950's-era airliner parked facing to the left. The plane is mostly white, with a thick grey stripe running along the body, covering the passenger cabin windows. The tail is the same dark blue, the leading edge outlined in white, with a pair of thin white stripes along the middle, with the white registration "G-AOVF" in between them. There is a heavily stylised, angular, white flying bird on the upper left of the tail, under a rather faded Union Flag. Flat white sky fills the rest of the frame.
