On This Day 29th August 1987.

Rather grainy shot of a white, twin engined jet airliner taxiing from right to left in the distance, with the rear fuselage and tail of a 3 engined jet airliner on the right of the frame. The twin engined plane has a blue stripe running along the body, the other has a yellow and blue body stripe, with a blue tail containing a yellow lion standing on hits hind legs. A large expanse of grey apron fills most of the frame, with grass in the background leading up to trees in the distance, under hazy grey sky.

This was taken with a little 110 camera, which gives potato-quality images, but I'm including it here just because I wanted to, so there!

Bonus Photo of the Day 29th August 2025.

Side view of a single-engined light aircraft parked on black tarmac facing to the right. The plane is mostly white, with a blue stripe swooping it's way along the body, the blue registration "G-DPAZ" on the rather thin rear fuselage. White spats cover the fixed main landing gear, while the tips of the wings are turned upwards. A large wet patch covers part of the tarmac under the plane, where it has been washed. A man wearing a grey cap and a grey jacket over a blue t-shirt can be seen on the far side of the planes tail. In the background, a blue hangar with white trim stretches across the frame, with the open door revealing the white inner walls, and a couple of planes parked inside.
