On This Day 30th August 1992.

Side view of a twin engined light aircraft parked on grass facing to the left. The plane is mostly white, with 3 blue stripes running along the body, getting wider as they move rearwards, where they are joined by more stripes at the rear of the tail. The white registration "N453C" is overlaid on the stripes on the rear fuselage. There are more blue stripes on the top of the engine cowlings on top of the wings, as well as on the wing-tip fuel tanks. Green grass fills the foreground, with the red nosecone of another plane on the right of the frame, and the white and red tail on the left. Trees line the airfield perimeter in the distance, with rolling hills beyond that, and an electricity pylon looming over everything, under moody, cloudy grey sky.

Gat On A Sat 30th August 2025.

View from below of a twin engined jet airliner flying from left to right almost overhead, with flaps extended from the rear of the wings, undercarriage stowed away, and nose raised sharply, suggesting it has just taken off. The plane is mostly white, with orange billboard-style "EasyJet.com" titles on the fuselage, and white diagonal "EasyJet" titles on the orange tail, as well as the orange engine pods mounted under the wings. There are orange covers on the tracks that move the flaps under the rear of the wings, and the vertical plates on the wing-tips are also orange. The black registration "G-EZGE" is on the lower rear fuselage, next to a small EU flag, as well as under the left wing. Vivid blue sky fills the rest of the frame.

Bonus Photo of the Day 30th August 2025.

Side view of a helicopter hovering several metres above the ground at an airport. The copter is almost entirely bright yellow, with only the black registration "G-BZRS" on the engine cowling at the top of the fuselage, under the rotors, with smaller text "Babcock" under that, and the letters "RS" on the nose. A large grey hangar with a faded yellow roof stretches across the background, with several vehicles parked in front on the right of the frame, and several planes visible through the wide open doors on the left. Pale blue sky can be seen over the top of the hangar at the top of the frame.

Sounds weird, but it's a great place for spotting.
