The plane is mostly white, with a blue stripe running along the body and up into the tail, overlaid with the blue registration "G-BLYC" on the rear fuselage, and a red bird standing with out-stretched wings and a blue stylised triangular wing planform on the tail. The leading edges of the wings are also blue. The inside of the hangar has dark walls, with large opaque windows letting in some light.

G-BLYC, Piper PA-38-112 Tomahawk, Liverpool Flying School, being manually pushed back in to one of the hangars at Liverpool Speke, either 1992 or 1993.

Sadly, these hangars have now been demolished and replaced with an industrial estate.

Dark blue sponsons cover the fixed rear landing gear, connected to the bottom of the fuselage, with grey struts stretching out to support the long, thin wings just outboard of the engines. There are black "British Airways Express" titles on the upper forward fuselage, partially obscured by the engine pods under the wings, and the black letters "G-BM", part of the registration, on the upper rear fuselage. The tail is dark blue on the top and grey at the bottom, with a dark blue triangle and a diagonal red stripe in the middle, and a white Royal crest overlaid on the blue bit at the top. Slightly damp, black apron fills the foreground, with a the roof of a grey van with a red light on top visible at the bottom of the frame, and two men in dark blue and grey coats talking next to a pair of open doors in the rear fuselage. Gray taxiways in the background lead up to a large grassed area at the top of the frame.
