On This Day 4th March 1996.

Rear view of a 4 engined military jet bomber plane on display in a museum, it's nose wheel slightly raised off the ground as if it is taking off, facing away from the camera. The plane is covered in a grey and dark green camouflage pattern, with the serial "XL318" in black visible on the tail under a red and blue fin flash. A line of bombs can be seen on the ground under it's nose, indicating it's bomb load. The engine cowling and propellor of a smaller plane can be seen in the foreground in the bottom left corner. White walls fill the background, with blue metal frames supporting the roof and bearing lights stretch across the top of the frame. One of those lights in the top right corner is shining directly at the camera.

Side view of a blue, twin engined jet airliner with the engines mounted on the sides of the rear fuselage, taxiing from left to right. The plane has a light grey belly, and a white stripe running along the body, just under the passenger cabin windows. There are white "British Midland" titles on the upper forward fuselage, next to a red "BM" logo, a lager version of this logo also appearing on the tail. The registration "G-PKBM" is on the lower rear fuselage, just in front of the grey engine pods. A pair of taxiways separated by green grass stretch across the foreground at the bottom of the from, with a large collection of luggage containers lined up in rows right at the bottom. In the background, a black runway and more grass lead up to a wide, black cargo shed that fills the width of the frame, with a very large, 4 engined jet airliner with grey upper surfaces and a dark blue belly on the right of the frame, it's nose just out of shot. Beyond that, trees meet hazy grey sky on the horizon.
