Photo of the Day 8th July 2026.

Side view of a white, twin propellor-engined flying from left to right at a low altitude, it's wings banked to the left, with flaps lowered slightly behind the wings, and it's undercarriage stowed away. A bright light is shining forwards about halfway along each wing. The fuselage is mostly white, with a thin blue, red, and orange stripe running along the body from the nose, gradually getting wider as it moves rearwards, until the blue sweeps up to fill the tail. The number "227" is on the lower forward fuselage in large black print, with the much smaller registration "G-JATP" on the lower rear fuselage. Grey cloudy sky fills the rest of the frame.

G-JATP, British Aerospace Advanced Turbo Prop (ATP) in British Aerospace’s in-house livery, operating a display flight at Woodford Air Show, 26th June 1993.

The number 227 on the lower forward fuselage was it’s show number at the Paris Air Show the week before.
