So, the site has been up and running (again!) for a few days now, so I thought I shouldsay a few words.
Hi!
I’m MancAvGeek, a planespotter and aviation enthusiast (and occasional commiter of photography), based in the north of Manchester, UK.
I’ve been spotting since 1986, on and off, and using a decent(ish) camera since 1992, and this is where my archive is going to go on more-or-less public display.
I’ve been posting to various versions of this site since around 2013, have had a #Fediverse presence, on various servers, since 2017, and have been exclusively using that for my Social Media since 2022 – you may still find traces I haven’t wiped yet in places like FaceBook, Twitter/X, Instagram, Tumblr, etc, but the only places I am going to be posting are here and social.teamb.space , my Mastodon instance.
This site has been Fedi-fied, so you can connect from any ActivityPub-based client to stalk follow or interact with me.
And anyone with a WordPress site with the Friends plug-in can also connect with me.
I like to think of myself as an enthusiastic amateur – very enthusiastic, and VERY amateurish!
I make no claim to be any good at any of this, but I’ve caught some moments in time, and that’s good enough for me.
But I’m starting to waffle, so I’ll leave it there.
