The plane is largely white, with a thick green stripe running along the body, covering the passenger cabin windows, with black "Alitalia" titles on the upper forward fuselage, with a red triangle in the middle of the initial letter "A". A similar letter "A", this time in green, fills the white tail. The engine pods, mounted on the sides of the rear fuselage, has the text "DC-9" in green. The black registration "I-DIZE" is on the lower rear fuselage, just in front of the engines, with the last 2 letters "ZE" repeated at the top of the tail and on the open nose wheel doors. A blue metal mesh blast barrier stretches across the foreground, with red and white striped blocks marking it's position for planes, and a couple of large dumpster bins in front. Alternating strips of grass and taxiways and runways lead off into the distance, with a collection of high-winged, green or grey military transport aircraft on the far side, in front of cream-coloured buildings, under grim grey sky.
