The plane is largely white, with a twisted red and blue ribbon on the upper forward fuselage, just aft of the cockpit, and dark blue "British Airways" titles on the lower fuselage, below the wings. The black registration "OY-NCM" is on the side of the rear fuselage, just aft of the rear cabin door. The belly is dark blue, as are the engine pods hanging under the wings. The tail is also white, with diagonal red, blue, and white bands that come to a point part way up the front of the tail. Green grass fills the foreground, and much of the background, with a couple of grey hangars in the distance, under blue-grey sky.

Side view of a rather dilapidated, bare metal, 4 propellor-engined airliner (with the engines removed!) lying on blocks on the floor. The nose-wheel is slightly dropped down, and resting on another block. The metal fuselage appears to be torn around the wing root, probably where the wing was removed to transport it here. The frame around the cockpit windows appears to have been painted white, which looks a bit odd with the rest of it being in a bare metal finish. Fluffy grey and white clouds fill most of the frame behind.
