Side view of a helicopter hovering just a few metres over a grass airfield. The chopper is white on the top half of the body, with a blue belly, sweeping up to the rear of the body and filling the tail-boom and tail, over-laid with red and green stripes at the rear of the body. There are blue "National Grid" titles on the cowlings over the engine on top of the fuselage, repeated in a smaller form on the blue stripe at the rear of the tail. The large, white registration "G-RIDB" is on the tail-boom. Grass fills the foreground, with bushes and trees in the background, under flat white sky.

Front-side view of a small helicopter on display on a black plinth, facing to the right. The body is light grey on the body, with dark grey stripes running along the upper half, and large windows over the cockpit, with light grey text "R44 Astro" on the upper rear of the body. One of the black rotor blades can be seen on the top of the rotor mast, pointing directly rearwards. A light grey cowling covers the rotor mast with a large, light grey letter "S", heavily outlined in dark grey, in the middle, over the dark grey text "Sloane Helicopters", and a telephone number that that ends "4790595". The dark grey tail boom has the light grey registration "G-TLME" towards the front, with lighter grey towards the black and white tail rotor. Green grass and temporary metal fencing fill the background, with white vans and black cars in the background on the right, and brown temporary buildings on the left. Black and white striped buildings rise up on a small hill in the distance, under flat grey sky.

On This Day 2nd October 2015.

Side view of a high-winged, twin engined jet airliner flying from left to right at a very low altitude, with undercarriage lowered, flaps extended from the rear of the wings, and the nose raised sharply, suggesting it has just taken off. The plane is largely white, with a blue belly, a blue patch over the nose in front of the cockpit windows, and a thin red stripe running along the body from under the nose, turning blue under the wings, and sweeping up into the tail, getting wider as it moves rearwards. There are small, black "Operated By SunAir" titles under the cockpit windows, and the black registration "OY-JJG" on a fillet joining the front of the tail to the upper fuselage. Blue engines hang under the wings. Trees fill the bottom of the frame in the background, with a lime green tower crane reaching into the grey-blue sky in the distance.

Frankfurt Friday 2nd October 2026.

Front view of a very large, 4 engined jet airliner taxiing from left to right, it's nose-wheel turning towards the camera, with the rest of the plane about to follow. The plane is largely white, with a thick blue stripe running along the body from under the nose, covering the main deck passenger cabin windows, and a bare metal belly. The black letters "VOB" are on the lower forward fuselage, part of the plane's registration, which is otherwise not visible. A small, green, yellow, and blue Brazilian flag and black text "Brazil" are on the upper forward fuselage, just aft of the black outline of a circle containing a black winged figure, below the upper cabin and cockpit windows. Large, blue "Varig" titles are a bit further aft. The white tail has a large blue circle containing a 4-pointed black and white compass rose, over black text "Varig". Grey concrete apron fills the lower half of the frame, with white trucks and yellow and blue tugs in the background, in front of a grey terminal building that stretches across the frame, under flat grey sky.

Slightly grainy side view of a twin engined jet airliner parked facing to the left on a large area of grey apron. The plane is red on the top half, with a thick white stripe running along the body, covering the passenger cabin windows, with a grey lower half. The red tail has large, white letters "LTU" in the middle, and a small German flag at the top. White engine pods sit under the wings. White mobile airstairs are parked against the forward, forward mid-cabin, and rear doors on the nearest side of the plane, with yellow baggage loaders and white and orange catering trucks, with their rears raised to the level of the cabin, by the rear door on the far side. A tall lighting pole reaches into the sky immediately behind the plane. A large grassed area sits in the background, with assorted taxiways and runways cutting through from side to side, leading up to cream-coloured hangars and green trees in the distance slowly being swallowed up in hazy grey sky.
