The plane the black name "Pioneer" in an italic script on the nose, under the cockpit windows, and the black text "Allied Airways" over smaller text "(Gander Dower) Ltd" under the forward passenger windows. The black registration on the side of the rear fuselage is partially obscured by the wing, and is pretty much unreadable, except for "-AD" in the middle. The plane sits on a patch of pale blue concrete floor, the rest of the floor being grey, with low, blue, metal barriers marking a walkway around this and some of the other exhibits in the bottom left corner. Parts of other exhibits can be seen in the background, but no details. A large, arched roof, with wooden panels forming the sides, dirty glazed panels in the middle, and large windows at the end revealing bright sky, soar over everything else in the frame.

The engine pods themselves have three squares on the sides - red with a white cross, red with a black cross inside a white cross, and blue with a yellow cross, each with a golden crown on top, representing the flags of Denmark, Norway, and Sweden, the 3 Scandinavian countries for whom Scandinavian Airlines is the flag carrier. The black roof of the top of the terminal building fills the foreground, with grey concrete apron filling most of the background, with grass lining taxiways in the distance, with trees and buildings beyond that, being slowly swallowed up in bright grey haze. A white, twin engined jet airliner with a red tail and a white band across the middle is taxiing from right to left in the distance.

The plane's upper forward and lower rear fuselage is white, with the lower forward fuselage being dark blue, and diagonal green, blue, and purple bands wrapping around the rear fuselage, and mauve wrapped around the tail and tail-cone. The white registration "G-BURV" is visible on the upper rear fuselage, above the mauve engine pods mounted on the sides. Coudy grey sky fills the rest of the frame.

The plane is mostly white, with a pair of red stripes running along the body, and the black registration "EI-CLP" on the upper rear fuselage, above the rear-most passenger cabin windows. There is a stylised blue letter "V" on the tail. Grey taxiways and a runway run from side to side in the background, lined with wide strips of green grass, with grey buildings in the background, in front of low hills covered in trees, under hazy grey sky.
